LFO Tarts ‘n Crafts 2010 Spring Edition Callout for Vendors!

Posted in tarts 'n crafts on February 24th, 2010 by LFO – Be the first to comment

That’s right, folks. LFO is pleased to announce the call for applications to our spring edition of Tarts n’ Crafts. You’re not going to want to miss this one!

Tarts n’ Crafts
Saturday, May 8, 2010
Jack Purcell Community Centre (location subject to change pending availability)
10:00 am to 5:00 pm

To meet your tabling requests, we’re offering the following options:

A. Rental of 5X2 ft table – $30
B. Rental of 5X2 ft table plus additional room for your own rack – $35
C. Rental of 5X2 space (you bring your own table or rack) – $25

Please send an e-mail application to ladyfest_ottawa_crafts@hotmail.com with the following information:

Your name and contact info (e-mail, phone number, website)
A brief description of you and your product
Approximate price point of your product
Photos of your work (no more than 5, please)

Because of the overwhelming demand for tables, LFO will jury all Tarts n’ Crafts applicants based on the following considerations:

Is it a good fit with the LFO mandate? (www.ladyfestottawa.com)
Is the product well-made, with a DIY, edgy aesthetic?
Do the crafters chosen strike a balance between local, regional and national representation?
Do the crafters chosen represent a variety of products?

LFO is an inclusive, feminist organisation. We feel that providing a venue for women artists counters the obstacles and discrimination that women often face, including sexism, homophobia and racism.

*** Please provide all info in the body of your e-mail. Do not submit applications in Word or PowerPoint format. ***

Write us with any questions you have about the craft sale. And, of course, apply quickly! The deadline for all applications is March 14. If accepted you will receive a confirmation e-mail by March 27.

Howdy and welcome to our new digs!
